Paediatric oncology outreach team
Our paediatric oncology outreach team is based at the Piam Brown unit. The team's specialist nurses will provide support and guidance. They also play a vital role in providing a liaison between the Piam Brown unit, the community team, shared care hospitals and home. They also liaise with GPs, schools, nurseries and other agencies and provide family support.
During your child's treatment, the team will make regular contact with you and your child, and will see you in hospital, at home or in your shared care hospital. They will remain in contact with you after your child's treatment has stopped. Find out more about our shared care system.
