Fatigue

Managing hair loss and regrowth
- We have an adult wig fitting service at Southampton cancer centre, find out more in our patient information below.
- For information on managing hair loss during and after cancer treatment as well as alopecia, visit Alopecia UK or My New Hair, a charity helping you to find local hairdressers who can trim wigs and manage hair regrowth after treatment (just put in your postcode).
Look Good Feel Good
- A free skin care and make up service is run from the Macmillan centre, helping women and men of all ages during and after their cancer treatment. Find out more.
- Maggie’s Southampton hosts Look Good Feel Better sessions. You can book a timeslot by contacting Abbie on 023 8212 4549 or email Southampton@maggies.org.
Living well
- Penny Brohn UK is a national charity focusing on supporting you to live well with and beyond cancer.
- Live your life after cancer is a life coaching group for people who have been affected by cancer, aiming to inspire, empower and equip people in local workshops across the county.
- Macmillan run a weekly course of six sessions called the HOPE programme, at local Macmillan centres, supporting people to live well through self-management. Ask at the Macmillan centre for the next course in Southampton.

To you need to stop or reduce your smoking or alcohol consumption, support is available:

- Macmillan offers helpful advice on travelling during and after cancer treatment, including travel insurance. We recommend that you discuss travel plans with your team before paying for trips.
