Equality reports - WRES WDES and Gender Pay Gap
In this section, you can view our Trust's equality reports.
Our workforce profile, WRES and gender pay gap reports help us:
- identify any potential disparities in the diversity profile of our workforce. This helps us in developing actions to address any inequalities and barriers to equality of opportunity
- understand differences in the outcomes or experiences of our staff and, where required, develop training and guidance to support our managers and staff in achieving their goals
- to inform the development of all our people policies to ensure that they advance the three aims of the general duty.
Our workforce profile
This report looks at the diversity of our workforce. If you'd like to compare our data to data on diversity in the wider area, we recommend that you visit Southampton City Council's website.
WRES annual report and action plan
In April 2015, NHS England introduced the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES).
The scheme consists of nine indicators and associated metrics that NHS organisations should use to collect and analyse data. This analysis must then lead to appropriate action and intervention to address any shortcomings in the treatment and experience of black and minority ethnic (BME) staff.
This is important because studies show that a motivated, included and valued workforce helps deliver high quality patient care, increased patient satisfaction and better patient safety.
Our results against each of the indicators and our action plan for closing the gaps can be viewed below.
WDES annual report and action plan
NHS England launched the Workforce Disability Equality Standard (WDES) in 2019. It's a set of ten indicators that enables NHS organisations to compare the experiences of disabled and non-disabled staff members.
This analysis must then lead to appropriate action and intervention to address any shortcomings in the treatment and experience of staff members with disabilities.
Our results against each of the indicators and our action plan for closing the gaps can be viewed below.
