Your baby will discharged from our unit either to go home or to your local neonatal or paediatric unit. In most cases, surgical follow-up will be arranged so that your surgeon can see your child in your local hospital. Not all our surgeons go to every hospital so it may be necessary for one of the other surgeons to see your child or we may ask you to bring your child back to outpatients in Southampton. Depending on your baby's condition we may continue follow-up for some years or even throughout childhood.
