Sleep service

Our respiratory sleep service performs over 750 sleep studies a year, and continues to grow.

Our main work involves diagnosing and managing sleep disordered breathing problems, such as obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). You can find out more about OSA on the NHS website. We also work closely with other specialties including neurology and ear, nose and throat, to manage other sleep related problems such as parasomnias.

We may be able to give basic advice on dealing with insomnia, for example sleep hygiene and mindfulness. However, patients with complicated issues should be referred to specialist insomnia clinics in Oxford or London.
