Bedside testing for respiratory viruses

We're about to start a study to look at how useful bedside testing for respiratory viruses is for patients who come into hospital with acute respiratory problems. We'll be looking to see if this testing can improve the care we provide (updated August 2017).

Early mobilisation

During 2017, our physiotherapy team are working on an early mobilisation project, to show that early physical therapy in a patient’s illness can help to speed up their recovery.

Audit of non-invasive ventilation use

Our unit also carries out an audit of non-invasive ventilation use every year.
