Specialist pharmacists (cystic fibrosis)
The CF pharmacy team are available to talk to if you have any problems with your medicines, or you would like advice about how your medicines work, side effects, drug interactions or any other medicine-related queries.CF pharmacists are involved in:
- carrying out medication histories on the ward
- discussing adherence issues
- ensuring the supply of medications both in and out of the hospital
- managing the prescription of specialist medicines delivered through home care services (for example Lloyds)
- medication reviews at outpatient clinics.
Helen DunnHelen is the lead pharmacist for adult cystic fibrosis. She has worked in the NHS since 2006 and joined our service in 2011. As well as being a specialist pharmacist she is also an independent prescriber and has led the roll out of CFTR modulator therapy.
Theresa KolaczkowskiTheresa joined the CF team in 2017, and is available for inpatient and outpatient reviews.
Jenna PowersJenna has worked in the NHS since 2012 and joined the CF team in 2021. She currently splits her time between CF and the Southampton medicine advice service. Jenna is available for inpatient and outpatient reviews.
