comprehensive information about head and neck cancer, planned treatments (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy) and follow-up care
close liaison with other agencies to provide continuity of care
a contact and resource for patients and their cares whilst receiving treatment at UHS
information about useful organisations and patient support services
time to discuss problems and issues of management
support with smoking cessation
support with reducing alcohol intake
practical advice regarding laryngectomy/tracheostomy care
practical advice regarding gastrostomy and PEG feeding.
