Outpatient breast clinics
Breast screening clinic
- This is a review clinic if you are recalled following your routine mammogram and require a biopsy you will be advised to attend a clinic where we can review these results with you (see breast screening service).
One stop and two stop clinics
- If you have breast symptoms, and your GP refers you to see us we will aim to see everyone on the same day as their imaging (mammography or ultrasound).
- Please check your appointment letter(s) carefully. During your appointment you will be examined by a breast specialist, and the results of any imaging or other tests will be explained and discussed with you.
Oncoplastic breast clinic
- This is our joint plastic surgery clinic for those under consideration for breast reconstruction.
Follow-up clinic
- This is for patients who have been seen before for breast symptoms or after breast surgery, or who are in the process of breast treatment.
Other clinics include oncology clinics for those having breast cancer treatment with our oncologists, and family history clinics to review and assess whether further genetic advice is required.
- If you are attending for results after a procedure or imaging you may wish to bring someone with you to discuss any information or results that you receive. Our specialist breast care nurses are also present at these clinics for additional support.
