Imaging for patients with breast symptoms

If your GP or breast specialist has referred you to the breast imaging unit for tests, you will be sent appointments for an outpatient breast clinic and breast imaging. Mammogram

Breast imaging

If you are over 40, a female radiographer will perform your mammogram. This only takes a few minutes. Some patients may also have an ultrasound examination and other tests at the same visit. Ultrasound scan

If you are under 40, we will usually perform an ultrasound.
