The Face Place

The Face Place is a regional facial rehabilitation clinic, treating people with facial problems such as facial palsy.

Our physiotherapists and therapy technician are specially trained to offer a wide range of treatments to help you to recover. The clinic has been designed to look like a beauty salon, providing you with a relaxed, safe and supportive environment for your treatment. As part of the Wessex Facial Nerve Centre, the Face Place team are committed to an overall approach with also takes your physical and emotional needs into account.

Appointments

Your appointment may take up to an hour, which gives you time to discuss any problems or concerns, and ask questions. We will use this time to help us understand what you need, and how facial rehabilitation can benefit you. We will also develop a treatment plan for you, which you can do at home.

At around six to eight weeks after your first appointment, we will have a review to see how you are progressing, and check if any changes are needed to your treatment programme.

The Face Place is based in the Wessex Neurological Centre, on level A at Southampton General Hospital.

Please report to neurological outpatients reception when you arrive.
