By taking part in our research you can help us expand our knowledge of cognitive disorders and improve the way we diagnose, treat and care for those affected by these conditions.
Our research studies include observational data collection studies and drug trials which evaluate the effectiveness of new treatments.
All of our studies have been reviewed and approved by an independent ethics committee to protect your safety, rights, wellbeing and dignity.

Cognitive research
Younger-onset dementia assessment study (YoDA)
A regional observational study for people with younger onset dementia and their companions. This study aims to improve clinical care through research into clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment options. We are running a Quality of Life sub-study of YoDA specifically for people with a younger onset dementia.

Healthy volunteers neurosciences research database
Healthy volunteers are required for a neurosciences healthy control volunteer research database. We are currently looking for healthy volunteers to provide "control" participants for research studies that are analysing the cognitive skills of people with a neurodegenerative condition. If you would like to sign up to this registry when a suitable study starts we can contact you with an information sheet explaining what you would be required to do. You are then free to agree or decline participation in the actual study. Please note these are all observational studies not drug studies.

BraIID
The Brain Imaging in Dementia Study (BraIID) is an observational longitudinal study to optimise image reporting in dementia clinical practice. Recruitment is open to anyone over the age of 18 with cognitive difficulties of any kind and who are scheduled to have a HMPAO-SPECT scan. Companions of those who are scheduled to have an HMPAO-SPECT scan will also be welcome to participate. The study involves giving consent for researchers to view clinical data and be contacted for follow up phone assessments of potential progression or decline of cognitive problems.

Huntington’s disease research
Enroll HD
This international observational study will take the place of the EuroHD registry study during 2014. Everyone currently enrolled within EuroHD registry will be given the opportunity to move to the new study. We hope that this study will provide support for ongoing efforts to improve care in Huntington's disease across the region.
