Events

We hold various patient events throughout the year. Events include evening meetings with patients and their familes, and an end of year party. The team will also be attending and reporting on external events.

Patient and consultant forum

This forum is an informal meeting between patients and medical staff at the Southampton comprehensive care centre. These meetings are run every three to four months and are open to everyone. Some meetings also include a guest speaker.

Summer outing and Christmas party

The summer outing and Christmas party are annual events where children and families can get together to have a fun day out. Venues can change from year to year. Previous summer outings have included Southampton Common and the Hampshire farm museum. The Christmas party is usually held in a local church hall with a hired family entertainer.

Suggestions on venues, events or ideas for future outings are welcome. Please contact the haemophilia team with any ideas or more information.

Fundraising events

Our staff occasionally take part in fundraising events for the haemophilia charity fund. Details of the events and ways of sponsoring staff will be placed on this page. If you have any ideas on how to raise money or would like to advertise an event you are taking part in please contact the haemophilia team.
