UHS staff recognised in New Year Honours
Three staff based at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust have been recognised in the New Year Honours list.
Professor Huon Gray (pictured), a consultant cardiologist and national clinical director for heart disease for NHS England, was awarded a CBE for services to cardiology.
Dr Stephen Wootton, an associate professor in human nutrition and a member of the NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre, was awarded an OBE for services to nutrition and physical exercise.
Jocelyn Walters, a research manager at UHS and a founder member of the National Cancer Research Network, was awarded an MBE for services to cancer research.
Dr Caroline Marshall, chief operating officer at UHS, said: “It is fantastic to see staff in a variety of specialties recognised nationally for their achievements.”
