Thank you from David French, Chief Executive

Today, as we are again taking time out to say thank you as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, I wanted to share my thanks with colleagues and partners who have continued to support our Trust through challenging times.

Finding ways to express my thanks adequately has been something of a challenge. I am truly honoured to be leading an organisation where, time-after-time, our UHS family has risen brilliantly to help overcome the challenges of the last few years.

They have done that as individuals, collectively as teams and in collaboration with our wider healthcare partners, to ensure we continue to do the very best for the patients we care for.

I am also truly thankful to our community and patients for their unstinting support. Your generous donations and playing your part in the pandemic response, has made a huge difference to our ability to deliver care to the sick and vulnerable living in our diverse community.

Enjoy the Jubilee celebrations safely and look after each other. We are so proud to be part of this wonderful city and I add my congratulations to everyone in Southampton in playing their part in our bid to be City of Culture 2025. It is so impressive to have made it to the final four and I know it won’t be the end of the journey.
