To help ensure we are able to look after the patients who are most in need of our care, we are asking for the community's help in supporting patients back to their homes once they are medically fit to leave hospital.

Currently, we are seeing a huge demand on our urgent care services with a high number of people needing to be admitted particularly due to respiratory viruses.

Some of those patients are having to wait for a bed to become available on our wards due to the number of people who are being delayed in their discharge but who are well enough to be looked after elsewhere.
