Patients, visitors and staff coming to the hospital via Winchester Road should allow additional time for their journey. The roadworks, starting from Monday 31 July and lasting for three months, are likely to cause some disruption around the University Hospital Southampton site.

The water supply in the area is being improved, and Clancy and Southern Water will be renewing the main on A35 Winchester Road. One lane will be closed from Hill Lane to Dale Road with a diversion route for westbound traffic.
