Changes to parking charges at University Hospital Southampton

University Hospital Southampton (UHS) will introduce new parking charges for patients and visitors at two of its sites, Southampton General Hospital and Princess Anne Hospital, from Saturday, 30 September 2023.

This decision follows an annual pricing review and is reflective of the increased costs of operating and maintaining our car parks.

We continue to offer either free parking or special concessions for some patients, particularly those receiving long-term treatments, Blue Badge holders and patients who receive certain benefits.

In addition, long-stay tickets are also available allowing unlimited parking options for 7, 14 or 30 days.

Any revenue from charges which is not allocated to upkeep, security or improvement of our car parks is invested directly into supporting frontline patient services.

The Trust encourages patients and visitors to consider other methods of travel, such as public transport, if possible to help reduce congestion on site and in the local area.

More information on parking charges, concessions and locations of car parks can be found here.
