A giant-sized thank you to our staff

2020 has been an incredibly challenging year.

In appreciation of the amazing team effort of everyone at University Hospital Southampton during the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to find a way to say a HUGE thank you to all our staff.

With some space kindly donated to us by our building partners BAM, we have now installed a series of suitably giant-sized thank you messages outside the new GICU extension near our main entrance as well as near the entrances to Princess Anne Hospital and the eye unit.

These messages are there to recognise and celebrate the dedication and sacrifices our staff have all made to go above and beyond to keep our patients safe and cared for, to support their colleagues and keep our Trust running.

If you’re visiting our Trust for an appointment, make sure you keep an eye out and share your messages of thanks with us by having your say or by leaving us a message on social media.

As part of our reveal to staff, members of our Trust board have appeared in a special video message to thank their heroes… our UHS staff.
