If your child or a child you are looking after is unwell, and you don’t know where to ask for help, it can be very stressful.
Dr David James, consultant paediatric emergency medicine, University Hospital Southampton (UHS) and acute care lead, Healthier Together, talks about the resources available on the Healthier Together website. These resources have been developed and are used by both parents and healthcare professionals, in Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. There is clear information on common illnesses, including advice on what you look out for and when to seek help.
And Joanne McPartlane, RGN, head of 111 and integrated urgent care, South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), will focus on when to call 111, what to expect and how to get the best outcome for your child.
Helen Ramsay, lead governor, and public governor, Oxfordshire, SCAS, will chair session, to give you an opportunity to ask leading healthcare professionals the questions you need to know.
If you are unable to join us on the evening you can register to receive a recording after the event.
