Our children’s dietitians are specially trained to use food and nutrition to support children and young adults to grow and develop to their full potential.

Our team includes a number of nationally recognised dietetic experts. We work as part of multi-professional teams to provide national, regional and local services.

We work with babies, children and young adults who come to see us as outpatients on the day wards, and those who are staying in hospital. We work closely with children, their families and carers to provide personalised nutritional care, tailored to their needs.

We have an ongoing commitment to education and research and teach on many local and national courses. We supervise dietetic students on their clinical placements with us, training them to be dietitians of the future.

We're actively involved in a number of collaborative research projects with industry partners, and projects in association with NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre.
