Key achievements
- Completing a large research project looking into the heritability of primary angle closure. This resulted in the calculation of the sibling risk of narrow angles and a recommendation of target screening in certain populations.
- Completing a project looking into the immediate management of acute angle closure in eye casualty at Southampton Eye Unit. As a result a protocol for the management of acute angle closure was introduced, therefore ensuring, appropriate, timely and standardised care of patients presenting with the condition.
