Mr Hossain is an ophthalmology surgeon with a sub-specialty interest in cornea and external eye disease and cataract surgery.

Experience

Mr Hossain has worked for the Trust since August 2005. He has expertise in cornea and external eye disease and anterior segment surgery, including corneal transplantation (keratoplasty) and full thickness and lamellar corneal keratoplasty, including Descemet's membrane stripping endothelial keratoplasty (DSEK).

Other areas Mr Hossain works in include allergic eye disease, microbial keratitis, blepharitis, dry eye, ocular surface inflammatory disease, anterior uveitis, scleritis and autoimmune anterior segment inflammatory disease. He also performs complex cataract surgery.

Mr Hossain is senior lecturer in ophthalmology at the University of Southampton.
