Experience

Mr Viola has worked for the Trust since July 2005, and has been employed as a consultant since May 2010. He is currently the surgical lead and certified specialist for the extracorporeal life support (ECLS) program.

Mr Viola has contributed to a number of peer-reviewed articles and several chapters in surgical textbooks, and is author of the award-winning textbook “Key Questions in Cardiac Surgery”, now included in the surgical curriculum of the American Association of Directors of Cardiothoracic Surgery Programs. 

He has presented at national and international meetings on congenital cardiac surgery and quality control.
