Dr Sarah Davidson

Training and education
Dr Davidson completed her neonatal grid training in several of the London neonatal intensive care units. Her master's in medical education was completed through Cardiff University.
Experience
Dr Davidson is a consultant in neonatal medicine who joined the Trust in 2015.
She's one of the clinical consultants covering neonatal inpatient services, outpatient services and the Wessex transport service (SONeT), for which she is clinical lead for the Southampton team.
Dr Davidson has an interest in medical education, with her master's dissertation looking at enablers and barriers of multi-professional team learning. She was elected to membership of the Academy of Medical Educators in 2015. She has interests in simulation and crisis resource management, and is a course director for newborn life support and a GIC resuscitation instructor.
Dr Davidson is the RCPCH (Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health) college tutor and lead for rota management and implementation of the junior doctor contract. She is also the lead for reducing antibiotic use in newborns and is developing her research interests.
