Dr Ray Armstrong
Dr Armstrong is a rheumatologist with a sub-specialty interest in inflammatory rheumatic disorders.

Training and education
Dr Armstrong trained in rheumatology at Guy's Hospital, including one year as an arthritis research campaign research fellow.
Experience
Dr Armstrong has worked for University Hospital Southampton since January 1985. He has provided a service embracing the full spectrum of rheumatological disorders for over 20 years, and has been lead clinician for the service for more than ten years. In addition to full time clinical practice, Dr Armstrong has pursued his interest in application of IT to education and service delivery, and medico-legal practice.

- Hospital doctor award for Rheumatology Team of the Year, November 2005 (member of winning team)
- Healthcare Champions Award to Southampton Rheumatology Unit by National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society 2006.
