Experience
Dr Dennison joined the Trust as a consultant in respiratory and general internal medicine in May 2014. As well as working in general respiratory care, he is part of the severe asthma team at Southampton General Hospital, he's the lead for adult sleep disordered breathing, and has a clinic dealing with bronchiectasis.
Dr Dennison spent three and a half years as a research fellow at Southampton General Hospital's respiratory Biomedical Research Centre during his registrar years, and completed a PhD in 2017 in asthma research, looking at the role of growth factors in promoting epithelial regeneration. He remains interested and involved in Southampton’s strong research in asthma, acting as a principal investigator for commercial and non-commercial trials.

- Completion of a first of its kind randomised controlled trial into the effects of a novel treatment (KGF) in asthma
- Co-author for a chapter in Oxford Desktop Reference for Respiratory Medicine
