Experience
Dr Wilkinson is a consultant in cardiac anaesthesia and intensive care, and joined the Trust in 2011.
She anaesthetises adults and children who are having heart surgery, and looks after patients in the intensive care unit.
Research
Dr Wilkinson's main research interest is blood transfusion in patients who are having heart surgery. This research is in collaboration with NHS Blood and Transplant, a research group based at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital. Dr Wilkinson is the author of a number of journal articles, including two Cochrane systematic reviews.
