Dr Kevin Roman

Dr Roman is a paediatric (children's) cardiologist who specialises in cardiac MRI (scans of the heart) and fetal cardiology (care for unborn babies with heart conditions).

Experience

Dr Roman has worked for the Trust since July 2005.

Following medical school and postgraduate training in paediatrics in South Africa, Dr Roman trained in paediatric cardiology at Guy’s Hospital in London and Southampton. He went to complete a three year fellowship in advanced cardiac imaging in Toronto, Canada, focusing on fetal cardiac imaging and cardiac MRI.

Dr Roman has been clinical lead for paediatric cardiology at Southampton since 2014 and director of the Wessex-Thames Valley congenital cardiac operational delivery network since 2016. Dr Roman sees fetal referrals at both University Hospital Southampton and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
