Dr Pearson has worked for University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust since July 2007.
I trained as a paediatrician in London and Wessex before specialising in neonatal medicine in 2002. I was appointed as a substantive consultant at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton in January 2008.
My interests include neonatal nutrition and I do a weekly multi professional nutrition ward round on the neonatal unit to optimise growth and nutrition in the babies we care for. I am medical lead for the human milk bank and breast feeding team within the neonatal unit at Princess Anne Hospital.

I am part of the neonatal nutrition research team within the University of Southampton NIHR biomedical research centre for nutrition.
