Dr Enrico Clarke
Training and education
Dr Clarke studied medicine at Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, graduating in 2008 and pursuing specialist registrar training in radiation oncology in 2014.
He completed an honorary fellowship in neuro-oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2011, and at the University College London Hospital in 2014.
He also completed a fellowship in lung cancer at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in 2015, and in different tumour sites (including neuro-oncology) at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2018.
Dr Clarke has been on the GMC clinical oncology specialist register since 2014.
Experience
Dr Clarke has worked for the Trust since December 2018 as a locum consultant in lung cancer, taking on a substantive post in neuro-oncology in February 2019.
He provides outpatient and inpatient radiotherapy and systemic treatment for brain, skull-base, pituitary and spinal tumours and participates in ongoing development and delivery of stereotactic radiosurgery.
Dr Clarke has an interest in technical developments in radiotherapy, including advanced treatment techniques such as stereotactic radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiotherapy and image-guided radiotherapy with a particular focus on the treatment of benign and malignant brain tumours.
