Experience
Dr Rutherford joined the Trust as a consultant radiologist in 2006.
Her role is split between the main radiology department and the oncology imaging department. Dr Rutherford has specialist interests in gynaecological and pelvic floor imaging and neck ultrasound as well as contributing to the general oncology imaging workload.
She works in head and neck one-stop clinics, providing ultrasound scans and fine needle aspiration (using a fine needle to take a sample of cells for testing). Dr Rutherford's work in the oncology imaging department involves reporting on CT, MRI and ultrasound examinations. She has an interest in education with a role in ultrasound training and is also a clinical and educational supervisor.
