  • Started anaesthetic training in the UK in 1993. Continued training in the UK and Australia.

Experience

Dr Weidmann joined the Trust as a substantive consultant in November 2003. Prior to this, he worked at the Trust as a locum consultant for 15 months.

Substantive training in neuro and cardiac anaesthesia. 

Dr Weidmann is also an ATLS instructor.

Key achievements

Set up awake craniotomy service and more recently day case neurosurgery with Mr Paul Grundy.

Research

Presentations at international and national meetings in last 12 months. More publications planned. Performed first day case awake craniotomy in UK.
