Dr Benoy Shah

Dr Shah is a cardiologist with a sub-specialty interest in adult echocardiography and heart valve disease.

Experience

Dr Shah joined the Trust in 2014 and helps deliver and supervise the delivery of our adult echocardiography services, including transthoracic, transoesophageal, stress, contrast and three-dimensional echocardiography.

He holds British accreditations in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography and European accreditation in transthoracic echocardiography. Dr Shah is also a past member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) transoesophageal echocardiography certification committee.

Dr Shah also has a specialist interest in valvular heart disease and has established the multi-disciplinary Wessex heart valve clinic, which treats patients with heart valve diseases both before and after heart valve surgery.

  • Past member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) transoesophageal echocardiography certification committee (2015-2022).
