Experience
Dr Ana Narata is a consultant neuroradiologist at the University Hospital of Southampton and a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Southampton.
Her first specialist training was in neurosurgery, followed by neuroradiology training in Paris and Limoges, France. Since 2002, Dr Narata has acted only as a neuroradiologist, and worked as a senior consultant neuroradiologist at the University Hospital of Geneva, Switzerland, and the University Hospital of Tours, France. She is considered an expert in complex intracranial stenting procedures and Stroke treatment by the international community.
As well as clinical practice, Dr Ana Narata has developed an academic career with research projects on flow dynamics applied to intracranial aneurysms and stroke. She collaborates with engineers and doctors from all around the world to create a strong network leading to important grants from the EU and UK.
Her expertise in supporting the development and performing the benchmark of new medical devices contributed to the development of the interventional neuroradiology specialty and allows Dr Ana Narata and her team to have access to the most advanced techniques.
