Dr Adam McCulloch

Dr McCulloch is a consultant gastroenterologist and has a specialty interest in clinical nutrition and intestinal failure.

Experience

Dr McCulloch was appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist at University Hospital Southampton in May 2021. He completed his gastroenterology and general internal medicine training in the West Midlands and worked as a consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham before moving to Southampton.

Dr McCulloch is experienced in the management of patients with a range of gastrointestinal disorders and performs upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy including both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He has a special interest in clinical nutrition and intestinal failure, having completed a clinical fellowship at the intestinal rehabilitation and transplant unit at Cambridge and was awarded an MSc in clinical nutrition with distinction from the University of Nottingham.

He is one of four physicians on the nutrition support and intestinal failure team at Southampton.
