Our maternity service uses BadgerNotes maternity record, a secure electronic system designed to give you greater control over your pregnancy records and care notes.

What is BadgerNotes?

BadgerNotes provides real-time access to your maternity record. Information is updated in real-time by your midwife or other healthcare professionals involved in your care, directly from the hospital system.

Benefits of BadgerNotes

BadgerNotes replaces traditional paper-based handheld notes with a range of advantages:

Real-time information sharing directly from the maternity system.
Records are updated during each maternity visit or appointment.
Reduces administrative burden, as midwives no longer need to duplicate information on paper.
Secure access is limited to users with the correct login credentials.

You can also contribute by adding:

Information about yourself (for example occupation and allergies) during your booking appointment.
Your birth plans and preferences.
Feedback about your antenatal care, labour and birth experiences.

Data security

All data is securely stored and accessible only with your login details. BadgerNotes operates on the same secure platform used by healthcare professionals.

Accessing BadgerNotes

On a mobile device

iPhone: Download the *Badger Notes* app from the App Store, then open the app from your home screen.
Android: Download the app from the Google Play Store, then open it from your home screen.

On a PC or tablet

Your midwife will provide a security phrase and register your contact details, including your email and mobile number.
Visit the BadgerNotes website, https://www.badgernotes.net to log in.
Enter your email address and security phrase, then verify with a confirmation code sent via text.
If using a tablet, set up a PIN after entering the confirmation code.

Once these steps are complete, you can access your records.
