Counter fraud
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust has a zero tolerance approach to fraud, bribery and corruption. We fully support the aims of the Government and the NHS Counter Fraud Authority in reducing losses to fraud, bribery and corruption to an absolute minimum, ensuring that funds are used as intended for patient care.
We regularly review our strategies and provide training and education for our staff to reduce our exposure to fraudulent activity.
We have a nominated local counter fraud specialist (LCFS) who is a qualified criminal investigator. The LCFS works with staff to ensure anti-fraud measures are in place across the Trust, and to investigate any legitimate concerns that are raised.
