Treatment
If you are an adult non-emergency patient, you will be admitted to the Wessex Neurological Centre and assessed before being admitted to a ward. The length of time you are in hospital depends on the exact nature of your surgery, but some procedures such as lumbar micro discectomy and cervical discectomy are usually overnight stays.
For elective treatment you will be admitted to a surgical unit prior to attending theatre, and after your operation you will be admitted to the ward.
